As I set foot on Swiss soil, I soon realized that finding a suitable apartment was no walk in the park. Hours spent trawling through listings, endless phone calls to indifferent agencies, and countless viewings that left much to be desired – it was like a scene straight out of a comedy of errors.

Fast forward to 2014. After years of battling through the quagmire of Swiss residency permits, I finally obtained the elusive residence permit ‘C’. It was a moment of triumph, but amidst the celebrations, a thought nagged at me.

As I looked back on my rollercoaster ride through Swiss real estate, I couldn’t shake the feeling of camaraderie with my fellow expats still lost in the maze. And so, fueled by a desire to spare others from the same ordeal, I decided to take matters into my own hands. Reflecting on my experiences, I recognized the need to simplify the housing search process for fellow expats.
